Welcome to the world of the National Organization of Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain, population 5000. This is supposed to be the massive uprising of pissed off Hillary Clinton supporters who would rather destroy the Democratic Party, and American Democracy, by undermining everything Hillary stands for to elect John McCain.
That's right. John McCain.
The John McCain, who unlike Hillary, wants to see 100 more years of the Iraq War. The John McCain, who unlike Hillary, still thinks that NAFTA is working out great for American workers. The John McCain who, unlike Hillary, doesn't want our returning veterans to have the same GI benefits that WWII veterans had.
Looking at the website of this supposed long-time Democrat, veteran, and so-called Hillary Clinton supporter, Ed Hale, how many things can we find wrong with this picture?
I'll start first.
First off, let's start with the introduction to the mission statement of this pro-Hillary, now turned anti-Obama, pro-McCain "movement":
What good is a great economy if you have to worry about getting blown up by a car bomb every time you go to the Mall? You want another Baghdad here in the USA, not me! I want my grandkids to be free and that includes being free from the fear of being killed by a terrorist. If Obama is elected, you better hope he adopts Hillary Health Care plan, because you are going to need it with his idea of "Security" for this country. I am one of them bible thumping, gun toting red necks and dam proud of it.Ed
What was that about a great economy?
Is Ed Hale talking about the American economy? The same economy where the home foreclosure rate is at an all-time high? The same economy where the dollar, our stocks, and our job rate is in retreat while oil is surging to upwards of one hundred and fifty dollars a barrel? The same economy that now owes $9 trillion dollars in debts? If this is what Ed Hale thinks is financial security, I'd hate to see the balance sheets of his ranch business.
But enough about Ed Hale's very warped view of the economy, a view that Hillary Clinton vehemently disputes, let's talk about another glaring problem with the criticisms presented by the National Organization of Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain- Ed Hale's assertion that Americans have to worry about being blown up at malls.
A few years ago, I had the misfortune of living in Virginia only a few miles from I-95 during the sniper shootings. My husband was a vendor who sold to gas stations and restaurants at a time when an unknown gunman in a reported white van was shooting people as they got gas, went shopping and sat waiting for a bus. And as terrifying as that was, and it was terrifying to take your toddlers out of their car seats to lead them into a mall hoping you, or they, wouldn't get shot dead, there was never any threat of being blown up.
In fact, since 2001 despite the usual corporate media fear-mongering over mall bombings, there have been many gun rampages in malls (maybe that is why Ed Hale clings to his guns), but not one incident of terrorists bombing malls. So why this Hillary Clinton supporter cites one of his main concerns as being a problem Hillary doesn't even address in her campaign is yet another head-scratcher.
Yet another red-flag of this so-called Democratic revolt is evident on the organization's
Our Plans page:
The Democrat party has left us out in the cold, so we are going to build a fire that they cannot put out.
Come on now, Zell. Hasn't it already been established that the only ones using the Democrat[no ic] [sic]Party label is George Bush, John McCain, and Joe Lieberman? I don't think I need to elaborate. Moving on...
Taking a closer look at the head of this supposed grassroots organization, Ed Hale, let's look at his claims of being a long-time Democrat. Opensecrets.org only shows one donation for Ed Hale of Wellington Tx- $200 for Patricia Lamarche. That would be Patricia Lamarche, Vice Presidential candidate for the Green Party in 2004.
Now a couple of points of clarification, this donation was made on November 11, 2004. On November 11, 2004 the Green Party filed for an official recount of the Ohio Presidential Election results. So it would be highly unlikely that Hale’s donation was a coincidence. But if Ed Hale was so committed to the Democrat[ic] Party back on November 11, 2004 that he would donate a substantial amount of money towards an Ohio recount, why didn’t he donate that kind of money to a woman who he has gone a little more out of the way to support. After all, it’s not every day that a supporter of a presidential primary candidate goes out of his or her own way to start a website dedidicated to intentionally losing the election of his or her supposed life-long party affiliation. So why is he only trying to raise money now by soliciting donations?
If you don’t believe my suspicions about the sincerity of this supposed Hillary Clinton grassroots movement, just ask some real hardcore Clinton supporters if this group is truly representative of Hillary Clinton backers. For as Hillary Clinton uber-supporter has already noted,
The website below is apparently a FRAUD & not authorized by the official "Clinton Supporters Count Too" group:
http://www.clintonsupporterscounttoo.org
Do not submit personal information to the above site!
Someone has been illegally trying to solicit donations from Hillary Clinton supporters.
And that someone, according to the pro-Hillary site, Hillaryis44, is Ed Hale of Clinton Supporters Count Too which is a gateway to Hale’s site Hillary Clinton Supporters Count Too http://www.hcsct.com/... Which looks a little something like this:
Look familiar?:
Like I said, something isn't right with this picture. And this is not a Hillary Clinton supporter.
